Question #  1  Subject: Archwire for vertical slot  Posted by: Darrell Lee Angle on Tuesday May 27, 2008
Details: Hi Dr. Cannon, Darrell Angle in Portland. As you know I have been using your system for the past 2.5 years and love them. Just wanted to know the specific type/company of archwire your use for initial alignment/derotation. Thanks, Darrell

Details: Darrell I start out with a round nickel titanium archwire. I use either a .014, a .016 or a .018 depending the degree of rotations and or crowding. My rule of thumb is to use a size that I can easily insert into the vertical (wing) slot. I have put together a Power Point persentation of approximately one hour on how I utilize the wing slot. I have it on a UBS memory stick. If you would like I will be glad to send you one. Let me know if you would like it. Regards Jim Cannon
